Privacy policy

What we collect

Email signups. If you join the list we store your email address, the date you signed up, the page you signed up on, and whether you open or click our emails. We use it only to send recipes and kitchen deals. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits, pages viewed and roughly where visitors come from. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are.

Ads. We use Google AdSense. Ads are labeled Ad and never appear in Cook mode, on timers, or on the grocery list. Google may use cookies and collect device data, IP address and how you interact with ads. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses ads cookies. To opt out of personalized ads, use Google Ads Settings.

Affiliate links. Some links (for example on our deals pages) are affiliate links through networks such as CJ, Awin and Impact. When you click one, the retailer and network may set cookies so we earn a commission if you buy. We see only aggregate sales, never your name or card. See our disclosure.

TikTok and other connected accounts

Toned 'n Tasty sends its own recipe videos to its own TikTok account using TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API (upload to inbox). When an account owner connects TikTok to our tool, we receive from TikTok: the account's open ID and display name (scope user.info.basic), and permission to upload videos to that account's TikTok inbox as drafts (scope video.upload). We cannot publish anything ourselves: the account owner opens each draft in the TikTok app, edits the caption, chooses who can see it and posts it.

We use this only to show which account the drafts go to and to deliver the videos. We do not read your followers, messages, likes or other videos, and we do not use TikTok data for advertising or sell or share it with anyone.

Access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted on our server and used only to upload drafts. You can revoke access at any time in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy, Security, Manage app permissions; we then delete the stored tokens within 30 days. Use of TikTok is also governed by TikTok's privacy policy.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not ask you to click ads or reward clicks. Nutrition numbers are kitchen estimates, not medical advice.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from any email with its link. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, reply to any Toned 'n Tasty email or message us on Facebook and we will handle it within 30 days. California and EU/UK residents have these rights under the CCPA and GDPR. This site is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page.
