What kid wouldn’t want a bunny butt on Easter morning? Pancakes, fresh strawberries, chocolate and whipped cream wrapped up in an adorable Easter package.
Ok… so this isn’t exactly an elaborate recipe, but it’s a simple and cute way to make your family feel a little extra special on Easter or any other day of the year!
This little method below is for a single serving but double, triple or quadruple it to serve whoever you’d like.
Also, you can easily sub in or out whatever you’d like. Blueberries could take the place of chocolate chunks if that’s what you have. No strawberries? Use slices of bananas instead.
Prep the pan for pancakes just as you would usually. With the prepared batter, make one pancake a large circle (for the butt). Make two small oblong shaped pancakes for the feet. Cook according to pancake directions. Slice the strawberries width-wise to create the pads of the bunny feet. Now we just assemble: Place the round pancake down in the center of the plate. Place the oblong shaped pancakes on the bottom side of the first pancake to make the feet. Put a strawberry slice on the top of each of the feet along with 3 chocolate chunks. Now just add the bunny butt by putting a dollop of whipped cream on the round pancake. Enjoy! I have a cheap little squeeze bottle (I think I got a 2 pack from the little section in the front of Target...win!) and I just funnel the pancake batter in there. It helps if you are trying to get creative with any shapes. Feel free to steal the great tip!
